WOW. What a way to start Miss Machine. Anyways, I think the census here says that the song is most likely about the degeneration of society, and how our leaders, the people we've trusted with our lives, have metaphorically "lead us by the throat". Yet we do nothing in response to their actions, we "smile while the rope pulls tighter.....TIGHTER!" Well I think you see where I'm going with this. |

I can't believe that people are actually arguing that "Fix Your Face" marks Dillinger's transition into the mainstream. REALLY?? You actually see something "mainstream" about FIX YOUR FACE..? Ire Works does have a few songs that really do signify a little more mainstream attention for Dillinger, and those songs are "Black Bubblegum", "Milk Lizard", "Dead As History" and "Mouth of Ghosts". Other than those four, the rest is some pretty brutal shit. |
