God. This song is not at all original, although obviously it is quite catchy. And the lyrics leave much to be desired: "Is a man that makes me, then takes me, and delivers me to a destiny, to infinity and beyond!"
Are you serious? I'm not even close to being a feminazi, but the misogyny of that lyrics quite simply boggles me. Here is one of the most powerful ladies currently in the music business, and this is how she feels about herself? That a man is what "makes [her]"?
Well, at least Jay-Z and she won't have any conflicts. Sigh. |

If it wasn't for the 'my little girl' part, this would be the quintessential ex-substitute relationship song. As it is, it sounds vaguely arrogant/creepy, and I cannot but help think that either this song is about a pedophile or the narrator has some ego issues. |

x_to_go: I changed the "box full of tricks" lyrics, but the other 'mistakes' you mention sound more like stalls (as the last word only has one syllable) and calamitous kiss to me (though 'calamitous' sounds a little like "palm-ative", whereas the 'kiss' sounds like 'kiss', not 'cares'.) |
