I love how you can hear so much emotion in this song. It's about how she started having a relationship with someone who she'd been warned about. but she ignored whatever they had to say because she was "optimistic" about the situation and was falling for this guy (John Mayer) anyways. Seems like the relationship had a lot of ups and downs where he was trying to control her and have the upper hand. Then Taylor ended up getting hurt, so she stopped answering his phone calls before he could do more damage. Now SHE sees how she was naïve and too young. which is what makes john Mayer a huge douche, because he is so much older than taylor, HE should've have know. Plus he's a manipulative bipolar womanizer. His music isn't all too bad though, I'll give him that. |

LOVE THIS SONG. It's about how Taylor met some guy for the first time and they had an amazing flirty encounter, but it had to end much sooner than she'd wanted it to. Since they just she doesn't know if he's already "in love with someone else", but she's extremely interested in him to the point where she can't stop thinking about him and she wonders if he knows how great it was for her to meet him. |

It isss lame that ever since they started playing the video on mtv they changed the name to poppin, and why did they make their video to a different version of the song then the one on the cd. In the first line chamagne is like drowned out, and it sounds like alex is singing "jack's aiming to please" instead of were just aiming to please. Annoyingg. Alex always talks about how they don't want people to think they're selling out, and even though those are like smallish things, those are the kind of things that add up to bands selling out. But idk, just thought I'd throw that out there, haha. I think this song obviously wasn't written that recent, obviously more than a year because that's when the cd came out, so anyways, my point is that I think that he was partying and celebrating his so far success and was really exited about it but when he thought about what might/could happen in their career, they feel... Weird? That like they've made it that far because they're just some kids from maryland who never thought they'd get where they are and be in hollywood or LA, I think that they could be scared too, that they might sell out or be like the other bands or celebrities that they see on tv that they hate.I also thibk that they might be talking about how you can't always please everyone with what your doing in the music industry and even though they try they're still going to be themselves. haha idk if that made any sense. |

at first I thought he was talking about like a girl who's a drama queen and doesn't want to leave her bedroom because she got her heart broken, also hes having family issues at the same time and he's saying that he shouldn't let it get to him because he's the one who broke her heart and he can't do anything about the fighting between his family, but then he realizes that he still loves the girl and if she sticks around he would want to marry her. (I thought it said stick around and you can marry me, not stick around it'll burry me) haha but after reading the other comments I don't think it has to do with a girl. now I think it's about himself being the dramaqueen in his bedroom all upset because of his family's issues and how its slowly killing him to see them fight, so he decides he needs to escape from it all and that his bedroom isn't good enough anymore, and that he needs to leave, not necessarily runaway but idk just get away. I didnt really get the "you're a fake" part at first because I wasn't sure if he was talking about himself or someone in his family, but after reading sweetartfreaks paragraph on that part of the song, I agree. |

allytothemax is right, the lyrics that are up right now are wrong. it's: we can't make up for the lost time that we both apologize for. and for the very last line its: and I can't breathe. not can I think there are more lyrics that are wrong here, but whatever. anyways, this song is about a somewhat long distance relationship, and he's saying that even though your going to be far away I'm still going to try to see you as often as possible, and I'm willing to drive down there to come see you because I think about you all the time. they apologize to eachother because they want to spend as much time together as possible and its frusturating that they can't because of the distance and how she's really busy with college so they only really get to see eachother on Fridays (and weekends?) |

I love Chris Ingle or nevershoutnever! so much, I love all his song. I think this song is about a girl who isn't sure of herself most of the time, but he, and other people agree that she's beautiful, and interesting. (because people would want to know more about her, by asking him questions) I think that for some reason she left town or something like that and he misses her but it feels good writhing a song about her because he cares about her. I'm not so sure about the whole "face on" thing, I'm guessing it could be about like make-up or something, because that also has to do with how she's not confident in herself, but idk, this is just what I thought about the song.
