I kinda get this feeling of a guy and a girl, maybe close friends. The girl is obviously gorgeous and turns the head of every guy she walks past, probably knowing a few of them as well "Oh truly we are the fortunate few, who turn on your axis revolve around you , all spinning outwards from your sun" But in this girl's to get where she wants in life, she is naive about these men who look on her with wonder and quite possibly love. She has no clue, and the singer feels like he is completely invisible to this girl. She's attempting to take in everything life has to offer (as many people do nowadays) that she fails to notice this guy is struck dumb by love for her. It is his pain that makes him sing the sad cynical, "You see nothing at all, such a beautiful view." He is sad that she sees this wonderful scene that life has, and knows he will never be able to captivate her the same way "In your hurry to grasp, everything that you see, you don't see me".

I love this song! It's the one I've been listening to a lot. They've got a great sound range in this one and I love the lyrics a lot too. "Oh boy you ought to leave this town Get out while you can the meter's running down The voices in the streets you love Everything is better when you hear that sound" Is my favorite verse both lyrically and aesthetically.

One of the best on the new album. Dave sounds absolutely incredible from start to finish. I hope I get to hear him sing this live some day. I've not got a lot out of it so far other than the rhyme of "the story so far"... "makes it all who you are". I suppose that means all the good and the bad all contributes to who "you" is as a person.

This is my favorite song on the new album. Aesthetically (sp?) very pleasing. Haven't had a chance to really delve deeper yet but I loved so much I felt a need to comment.

Mobile – New York Minute Lyrics	17 years ago
This is such a fun song to listen to. The entire song builds up to the last couple of lines which I think are the best of the song. The singer has a tone of despair and resignation through the last two lines and even the chorus before a little bit.
