It's funny to see everybody 'listens' to a song in a different way. To me it was obvious; it's about her parents. But that was only because I can relate to it. I recognise it. (And yes, I have been crying like hell when I first heard it! All the emotions she discribes, I felt too, but could never put into words. This song was like some sort of musical therapy for me! ;)) If you've been in a relationship where you couldn't be yourself, I bet you feel this song is about that. It's just which situation you can relate to, you are sure the lyrics are about. Isn't that the best part of lyrics? |

To me this song reminds me of someone who is dishonest. A player or cheater. Who lies, knows it and wants to apologize.. "Let me apologize to begin with Let me apologize for what I'm about to say But trying to be genuine was harder than it seemed And somehow I got caught up in between" How can you say 'I really care for you' and make it sound sincere when you are not genuine??
