i saw breaking benjamin in concert recently and they played this song. while intro'ing it he said that this was their tribute to all the men and women serving in our military. ben said it was about the comraderie between soldiers, marines, airmen or sailors. about not leaving anyone behind. |

tyler connelly, thank you. i am currently deployed in iraq with my wife at home, waiting patiently for my return. the first time i heard this song i was in a webcam chat with my wife, and i broke into tears because this song says EVERYTHING i feel. i know how it feels to be "counting the days one by one" so i can definitely relate to this. thank you. |

wow.... thats all i can say about this song. absolutely BEAUTIFUL song, melody and lyrics. i know this song is written from the perspective a man who committed suicide, but being a deployed soldier, i can relate in a different way. i miss my wife, my best friends, and my family. "the last song" to me is: that "one more chance" i could've had to kiss my wife one more time, tell my family i love them one more time.
