Well to me this song is about rivalry and here what I mean. I'm losing sight, don't count on me. I chase the sun, it chases me. The first 2 lines mean That the 2 rivals are willing to doing anything to be better then there rival and they are both following each other as well and they “chase” each other in the race to be the better person/fighter/ect. You know my name. You know my face. You'd know my heart. If you knew my place. I'll walk straight down. As far as I can go. This line tells us that both of the rivals know each other and are both willing to go as far as they can even if it cost them their lives/friends/ect. Enlighten me. Reveal my fate. Just cut these strings that hold me safe. This tell us that they talk to each other by “enlighten them” and “revealing there fate” so they can get even more motivated in being better than there rival. You know my head. You know my pains. You'd know my heart. If you knew your place. I'll walk straight down. As far as I can go. The lines tell that they are at their limits but they know that there rival won’t give up knowing there head, pain and where their heart is leading them. So they continue pushing as far as they can go. Cure this wait I hate this wait This is no there but this is a key point in the song as it tells they try as they wait for the day when they show that they are better than there rival. And same with anyone they hate that wait. I follow you. You follow me. I don't know why you lie so clean. I break right through the irony. As the song goes on they follow each other to learn how they can improve themselves and they lie about how they are grater then each other knowing they are lying or are they not. |
