| The Beatles – I Want to Hold Your Hand Lyrics

Yes, this song is innocent, but that's not a bad thing. They were young. I think it's really sweet. I would love it if I had a song like this written for me. Heck, I would love it if a guy played this song for me. Amazing, amazing, amazing. |

Let me start off by saying that VERY few songs make me cry. But this is one of them. I cry because it's so positive, and so simple; I cry because we had to sing this song for music class at school, and it brings back so many memories. |

Janis Joplin was amazing, this has to be my favourite song of hers. "Freedom is just another word for nothing left to lose," I think that's the best line in the song. I just love it. It's such a shame that she died so young, she had talent. That's hard to say about a lot of artists today. |

The lyrics alone are beautiful. I've never heard the Ryan Adams version, I wish he would release it. I have heard a cover for this song on YouTube, though. Omg, I just love Anne Frank. It always makes me cry to think of what else she could have done, had she survived. |

| Gary Jules – Mad World (Tears for Fears cover) Lyrics

I first heard this song at ballet class, hahaha... As soon as I heard it, I thought it was absolutely beautiful. I feel it's about confusion in a young person's life. They feel as though the world is mad, odd, that everything is against them. Nothing seems to work out. A few months later, as part of an English ISU, we had to choose a song that could relate to a novel we read. I read The Diary of a Young Girl by Anne Frank, and I think this song could really apply to that. Anne's life was monotonous. She certainly must have felt the way the person in the song felt... That's all. xD |
