Howard Jones – Hide and Seek Lyrics 2 years ago
@[Bazob1:48998] Yes I think we're on the right track @[Davidqyp:48999] it's always best to control one's ego and avoid being a religious zealot. Not a good look.
It might be true that Howard Jones had Buddhist thoughts in his heart in 1986 but according to this interview in 2022 he only embraced it thoroughly in 1996. https://unlockingconnecticut.com/2022/02/12-questions-with-howard-jones/

The Feeling – Fill My Little World Lyrics 4 years ago
Thank God for the queer folk that spelled it out.

I remember hearing the local (gay) radio DJ laughing while playing this song back in 2006.

Laughing and saying how naughty the "cum" lyric was.

At the time I was naive and didn't understand what he found so amusing. I understand now.
Do you?

ZZ Top – Legs Lyrics 12 years ago
I reckon Billy Gibbons has a bit of a leg fetish. He perhaps wrote this song for a groupie with particularly attractive pins.

My (guessed) lyrical intent..
She never begs, she knows how to choose them.
(She is never short of cash because she chooses her boyfriends carefully)
She's holdin' leg wonderin' how to feel them.
(Dunno, maybe he feels he knows how to treat her legs - better than she does)
Would you get behind them if you could only find them?
(Some reference to wanting to do her doggie style?)
She's my baby, she's my baby,
(Very sweet affectionate words)
Yeah, it's alright.
(He doesn't beat himself up for his leg fetish - It's alright)

She's got hair down to her fanny.
(She's got long long hair)
She's kinda jet set, try undo her panties.
(Again, she will not just sleep with anyone - you need to be well healed)
Every time she's dancin' she knows what to do.
(She dances provocatively)
Everybody wants to see if she can use it.
(Everyone wants to see her work her ass)
She's so fine, she's all mine,
(I have no doubt this girl was fine. Billy you lucky sonovabitch)
Girl, you got it right.

She's got legs, she knows how to use them.
She never begs, she knows how to choose them.
She's got a dime all of the time,
(She's never short of cash)
Stays out at night movin' through time.
(He spent late evenings with her high rolling in Las Vegas)
Oh, I want her, said, I got to have her,
The girl is alright, she's alright.
(I bet he did have her - I bet she knows EXACTLY who this song was written for)

Thanks ZZ Top I love this song. For my wife though, I tone down the lyrics somewhat.

She's got legs, she knows how to use them.
She's my baby and I love her,
The girl she's alright.

HURTS – Wonderful Life Lyrics 14 years ago
More than a passing resemblance to "talktalk"'s "it's my life"... but that's not a criticism.

This so gives me such determination not to give up - even though i'm not particularly suicidal at the moment!

Really sweet story about this desperate guy thinking of jumping from the bridge - but instead meeting a voracious, passionate lover instead.

I feel sad for his family, who have lost him in either scenario but happy that at least they found each other.

Susie sounds really sexy. Mmm

:-)
