| I agree with agonyburnsred. I know a song can have many meanings, but I see the references to evil and "blood on our hands" and the lines that say "the cost of one life, the price of one soul, is too much to bear" as pointing to a call to reach the lost, so to speak. Don't mean to offend anyone though; this is just how I see it. | |

This song is about Jacob's dream as recorded in Genesis 28:11-22. I kind of take it to symbolize the sacrifices one must make in seeking God's Presence and perhaps the fear of people forsaking you for it. |
