Ok my theory is,and don't take this word for word but,this is a song about infidelity and knowing that the whole affair is meaningless.there is also a hinting of if this affair one of them will have to be silenced hence the first stanza, but there is also a sense that regardless of knowing this will not last forever and the days are numbered they will keep on doing what they are doing and accept their fate "we left our corpses on the beach untouched and slightly out of reach. we paint the walls with our dreams we'll turn the lights out when we leave. we left our corpses on the beach untouched and slightly out of reach. we paint the walls with our dreams we'll turn the lights out." the last stanza,my interpretation of this is they left the "real" them behind and are painting the walls with false hope,and when this is done it will be the end of "everything" |

| my interpretation is hes at the end of his rope regretting all of his past and recognizing taht it was all his own fault and it feels as if he's floated through life never thinking about what he was doing and my gues is now that hese failed at life maybe he can succeed through death.idk could be wrong | |
