the feeling i get is of an impression of childhood and nostalgia. also ...i think a nostalgia for a common place to be is clearly expressed. there is no around the corner anymore. there's no place where you can go and meet your friends and talk like you used to because of the linear progression of time,( or at least our perception of it) somewhere in the suburbs i think. also there's a male component and a female component to the verses. there's 2 maybe melding points of veiw about how things used to be? It's a really pretty song and it reminds me of my little corner of pa. |
