| The Antlers – Two Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| The Antlers are amazing, simply put. Such a well written song. | |
| Modest Mouse – Satellite Skin Lyrics | 16 years ago |

Just to add to this. While reading this I'm getting a different feeling. One of joining a cult like organization. Gets to the point that. Detachments get praised and completed You can say what you want and not mean it Well no one really seems to be waiting If you sweep up this mess I've created Nothing left to show I existed Except satellite, satellite skin Seems like being rewarded from breaking ties with old friends and with family. The second line I see this way. In a cult you are brainwashed. You stop thinking and saying things the old you would say. You are saying what you want(you think) but you wouldn't believe it. Then the past life is swept away. The song slowly seems to paint this breaking away from the old life as unappealing, then it slowly grows into something appealing. Then I think, If I'm seeing this correctly the person snaps out of it. My 2 cents, can't wait for the EP. |

Just like me in my own solar system You could do things up then totally eclipse them Oh what will you, oh, what the hell I'm hearing Doing good things but then totally eclipse them. Seeing this as another song about faith. First line feeling like you don't belong. "Satellite Skin" being breaking off from the group. |

| Modest Mouse – Gravity Rides Everything Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Quite simply, when people die they don't float away forever but instead are firmly grounded by gravity into our lives. All the good times and all the bad times are part of who we are and who we will be remembered as. | |
| A Great Big Pile Of Leaves – Mystery of the Brain Lyrics | 17 years ago |

Great song and band, definitely needs more comments and fans. Personally, lyrics seem very left open to interpretation. First section for me is telling people to throw away the mental blocks they have in their lives and go for their dreams. The barriers are just in your head. Second part is about diving in head first instead of taking it careful. When you are passionate about something, you seem to throw inhibitions away and go in full force. Last part is once you are in the water just drifting where it takes you. You don't have as much control as you think, but the lyrics describe the environment as beautiful. There is even paint past the shadows. |

| Arcade Fire – Black Mirror Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Black Mirror to me seems to be oil... Oil itself can do none of those things, but the money we put into it can. "Black mirror knows no reflection, knows not pride or vanity Cares not about your dreams, cares not for your pyramid schemes Their names are never spoken The curse is never broken, the curse is never broken" The other part seems to be self-awareness for how pointless life in general is, beyond what we set ourselves. "I know when the time is coming All the words will lose their meaning Please show me something that isn’t mine But mine is the only kind that I relate to" Lot's of good interpretations on here though. TV also makes a lot of sense. |

| Katy Perry – Ur So Gay Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| At least indie rockers put out good music unlike talentless whores who can't write decent lyrics. | |
| Flobots – We Are Winning Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
"Do not rely on this broadcast alone We are only as strong as our signal" Really made me like the Flobots. They are basically admitting that you can only get so much from them and that you shouldn't rely on one source of information and expect that to be fine. By doing so you are essentially going against everything they hope to convey to you. |

I love this song. Love this album. Really makes you think and I like that. This song doesn't need any explanation though. Very simply telling her story. |

| Flobots – Handlebars Lyrics | 17 years ago |

I think a very important point made in the lyrics is as follows. "Me and my friend made a comic book And guess how long it took" "Movers, shakers, and producers Me and my friends understand the future" "And I can do anything with no permission I have it all under my command" As time goes on there is no need to rely on others and thus everything "he" does is for a personal gain. Greed plays an important part as "he" is corrupted from making a simple comic which I'm guessing took a lot of work and time from the line "and guess how long it took" to doing anything without permission. I think the ending with "I can ride my bike with no handlebars" is the whole scenario repeating itself through history. |

| Weezer – Heart Songs Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
Had to make an account again for this song. Holy fuck this song resonates deeply with me. This is exactly how music should go. I'm in love with music. It's becoming my life as of late. The Nirvana reference is golden. Talking about a cd that finally pushed his liking of music into a love. Very powerful. A passing of the torch for musicians everywhere. I have to wonder if this is the end of Weezer though for that reason. "These are my heart songs They never feel wrong And when I wake for goodness sake These are the songs I keep singing" I do this all the time. Go to bed with a song in my head and wake to listen to it more. Thank you for this gift Weezer. |
