white is symobic of innocence, and it does relate to the loss of innocence in children i believe.
This song is very different to every other Rasputina song. All of Cabin fever was a bit.....different. |

She directly said it isn't about the president, nor anyone else. It is about a friend of hers. I personally believe that is it about men and their obsession with phallic sizes. Meh. But thats a personal thing. |

I think this is just Melora being amazing and creative. This was the first song i ever heard of Rasputina, and i fell in love with Melora's hypnotic sounds and pulses through Doomsday Averted. I will always love this song...^^; |

as the biography on rasputina's site says, this whole album was based mainly off of internet Meme's and fads. So i think this song, (mainly the You can build such fantastic palaces On foundations of straw, On weird promises, But with one fatal flaw. Part) is relating to the internet. I think Melora is talking about building fantasy upon nothing, weird promises, (self explaitory) one fatal flaw being that the internet is not real life. 'nuff said. |

"I like a baggy kind of overall
They don't really show it all
I can use my mind"
I think that is relating to her preference in the way men dress (oviously). Baggy, it leaves room for the imagination. ;D |

obviously it relates to the hell and brain washing that is modern day school systems. Which, are by the way, extrememly flawed and f*ed up.
ANYWHO!
It certainly leans toward the whole "we can make you perfect little clones" (dogmatic) ideas of modern day schooling. |

I think this song has a lot of symbolism relating to the turn of industrialization in the early 1900's, and can also be applied to the replacement of man in idustrialization today. The injury can refer to a hurt ego, that a machine can perform a job better then a man could |
