| Otep – Hooks and Splinters Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Many of their songs are about the writer (Otep) being raped... Jonestown Tea is the one that comes to mind, along with most of the first album... | |
| System of a Down – Aerials Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| The reason Daron states at BDO and other concerts is because at the time it was a single and very popular... Thus more people hear it and want to know what that, and the rest of System's songs, are about. To clear it up and leave it to your interpretation he states that "This next song.... Is about Nothing!" | |
| Otep – Warhead Lyrics | 16 years ago |
My friend (A chick singer) told me about them... And one day browsing Music Videos On Demand, I see an Otep so I decide to check it out... HOLY HELL THIS SONG HAS ME HOOKED! As said this is an Anti-Bush song (Like the poster "Bushazardous Waste" in the vid) but as ferry_515 said, it could very well be an anti-religion song. I love in the chorus, the screaming then her voice saying "Should I be inoculated" "Will I be incinerated?" Gold, it gives me the chills |
| Metallica – Ride The Lightning Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Reminds of something that my friend said "How will we teach our children that killing is wrong by killing the 'evil ones'?" Very good song, and as someone said before, underrated like rest of this album (My favorite of all MetallicA records) |
| Metallica – Last Caress / Green Hell (Misfits cover) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
When I saw this on Live Shit: Binge and Purge I totally thought they were just jamming... Especially how James acted through the Damaged Justice part of the video... Like before Sad But True he did the funniest "show me your tits" I've ever heard... Then starting off the song with "I got something to say... I Killed a baby today" I just stared and laughed. James and the band were hilarious now their rich and bitches... |
| AC/DC – Shot Down In Flames Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Anybody can relate to this song... I love how the guitars drop off on the first verse... She told me to got hell... (Silence) SHOT DOWN IN FLAMES! I love this song, my favorite off of Highway... and in top 5 of my favorite Bon songs (Dirty Deeds, TNT, Squealer, SDIF, The Jack in no particular order) |
| System of a Down – Mr. Jack Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I heard Daron plays it live, but Shavo recoreded it... The intro. (I got to the first page before I got bored of reading, so if this was already cleared up, oh well) This is a great anti-cop show, and its definately a live staple of our show, along with Metallica's Whiplash and Megadeth's Sweating Bullets. After that, what ever I start playing. |

| Dethklok – Birthday Dethday (Dethalbum Version) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
The many years ago today part bugs me 'cuz woman's pregnancy is 9 months, not a year... ANYWAYS, amazing catch goth... SOON! |
| Dethklok – Hatredcopter Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I thought it was Dave and in no chance in hell does it sound like James... Or Pickles for that matter. But seeing how the endless war between Metallica and Megadeth rages, and Small's alliance with Metallica (James has been in numerous episodes along with Kirk) I would see how the thing of making Pickles sound like Dave to insult him makes sense... But not really. Anyway, I'm a huge fan of both bands, saw Metallica on their latest tour and hoping to catch 'Deth this year when they promote their album. The song is about Nathan's character fighting and intense battle with Dave's (Or Pickles') character and have an immense hatred of each other |

| Dethklok – Better Metal Snake Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Hey toad1e what the fuck do you have against the dutch? | |
| KoЯn – All In the Family (feat. Fred Durst) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I never have listened to Bizkit so my opinion of Durst has no meaning. I love this song, me and my friend do this sort of stuff (Not rapped though) and we love it. If you can't take a joke from your friend, fuck off. |
| South Park – Uncle Fucka Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Yes, every song needs to end with "Suck my balls" | |
| Jennifer Lopez – Taco Flavored Kisses Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Yes, thank god I've been looking for these lyrics forever, didn't think to look under J-Lo, but I've looked under Eric Cartman, Matt Parker and Trey Stone. | |
| Metallica – The Memory Remains (feat. Marianne Faithfull) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I love the creepy Na-Na chant... I was listening in my room and it started playing, and it sounded so familiar it was creepy! The Deja Vu-ish sense of the chant and how the singer chants it sent shivers down my back. Does anyone know where I could have Deja Vu'ed it? Did Metallica take it from a song/tv show/movie or did the before mentioned media take it from Metallica. About the little kids wearing Metallica shirts. Who cares? I take my brother into Hot Topic with me to buy new shirts, and as we go by he goes: "Chaddy! Chaddy! Look its Eddie the 'Ed from Iron Maiden!" "Chaddy! Chaddy! Look its Vic Rattlehead from Megadeth!" and so on. (He's 7 by the way). My mom got pretty upset when she found me, my girlfriend and a couiple Hot Topic employees showing him new metal music and giving him trivia... Its better than being a kid who sits at home all day while playing video games... Speaking of Megadeth, someone said Dave will be forgotten. That is not true, I will never accept the imminent defeat of one of my favorite bands. Most Metallica fans (Myself included until St. Anger) disbanded the James Wagon and hopped on to Dave's Train of Consequences. They are the most famous consistent Thrash Metal band in the world... or America. You can say Slayer is more consistent (Not a single fucking slow album) but they are not as popular and well known, imo. Anyways, I would put the meaning but its been said a whole hell lot of times. |

| KoЯn – One (Metallica cover) Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I've been a thrash metal head for almost 7 years (Since I was 9)... My first concert was Dave Mustaine and his Megadeth. Ever since then I've been hooked. I've seen Anthrax (2), Metallica, Megadeth (4), Slayer (2) and CKy... I'm what most call a "new Gen Virgin," the newest bands I listen to are Pantera (Still eighties/ninties) and System of a Down. One has to be my favorite song of all time... Fuck Sweating Bullets, Peace Sells, Symphony of Destruction... Disciple, Angel of Death, Warzone... One rules them all. Now when I was sitting in the living room with my dad, both of us in tears, watching the shit fest known as MTV Icon: Metallica. That is until I hear the familiar staccatto (sp?) of guns and the remarkable riff of this song. I run into the room yelling "Daddy, daddy is Metallicckka playing?" (I was 11) and to my surprise I see some people I've never seen playing. I saw the scene... JD "pogo-ing" around his odd mic stand, Head and Munkey playing 7 string guitars. Covers are NOT meant to be exact replicas... Whats the point then? If you try to sound EXACTLY as Mr. Hetfield, Mr. Mustaine, Mr. Arya... Your performance is going to suffer. If you put a new twist on the song (Shortened solos, tweaked Verse and chorus riffs... The singer's trademark vocals) you are going to do better. And besides Lars looked really into it. Now I am A KoRn/SlipKnoT/etc fan but in a thrash band doing Metallica covers with a little Slyer/Megadeth thrown in, and I'm glad our vocalist has his way of singing then trying to get the rasp of James Hetfield... That's my rant and it is... over... NOW |
| Slayer – Disciple Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Tom Arya is the singer of the band and guess what! He's a fucking Christian! Oh my god! How could he write something like this? Well my dear Blind Christian friends, take a seat, Chad has a story. Have you ever locked your keys in your car? Drunk dialed your girlfriend? Forget an important file at home? Get pulled over for speeding in a school zone? All in the same day? Many people coming out of a situation like that would say something along the lines of "Wow, God must hate me today" Now, dear Mr. Arya thought of that thought, "God must really hate me today" and went to his friend Kerry, who just so happens to play one of the guitars in the same band as Tom and does most of the lyrics for said band. Tom told Kerry the thought of "God hates me" and Kerry, the aethiest he is, thought that would be an excellent God-bashing song... And best of all... Its a fucking shocking line... What would shock the most amount of people? Politics have been sung about in abundance and is old news. Women? Nah, too 80s GLAM. God? Christian rock bands are whimps... How about bashing the most influential, yet fake, man on (or above) earth? |
| Slayer – War Zone Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| This song is fucking pumped... I can't do anything but headbang... HARD while this song is playing | |
| Slipknot – Vermilion Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Very creepy song, wish it weren't a single though so real Slipknot fans could have it for ourselves and not have the pop/shit/radio listeners listen to this and call themselves maggots... Anyway, she isn't real, I cant make her real... A thought I cant seem to get out of my head, I dont know why but its just so deep and creepy the way Corey screams it... It definately means something. He probably remembers someone from his past that... well passed and is remembering things about her and believes she is there, and by the end of the song hes so hopeless, hes figured out shes gone and he cant help that, shes gone until he leaves too... IDK, again most brilliant lyricists (Mr. Corey Taylor, Serj Tankian, Bert McCracken, etc) have double meanings, like meaning is a metaphor for a deeper meaining... You can really go insane with these concepts |
| Metallica – Whiplash Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Classic album, and my favorite song on it. (Which I hate to say because you look like a poser if you say your favorite track is a single) Anyway me and the guys in my band open our shows with this or AC/DC's Let There Be Rock (I know another single) to really get the crowd going, we even messaged the record company that recorded Kill 'Em All to ask if we could cover it for our debut album, they said they'd message us after they asked the guys in Metallica... That was two years ago... Anyways, this song is about the feeling at shows that get you banging your head on the stage, punching people in the pit and going home sore... Then do it again a week later. "Whiplash" is a term doctors use on patients with sore necks from headbanging to hard/fast/long... Metal Up Your Ass! |
| Alice Cooper – School's Out Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Last year we called it in to the local rock station as we graduated Jr. High on the last day of school. We convinced our teachers to let us play it on their CD players all day... Surprising since I live Utah, but hey I guess teachers go through more school than they do so they could be glad for it anyway... C/O '11 rocks! |
| Alice Cooper – No More Mr. Nice Guy Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Very good song... First Cooper song I've heard, and loved it ever since. The Megadeath cover on their Hidden Treasures album is cool too | |
| Slayer – Angel Of Death Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Hey offdutyninja, I need saving I left the mormon church and I'm gonna burn with Kerry King! Go preach to the other fucking tards that live here in Utah with me. You and the other bullshitting about religion that got me into this music (Thank... No one) if it wasn't for Bible-thumping pussy-hating fucks like you I might be listening to POD or FlyLeaf or hell even RAP!! But no, you idiots did the exact opposite of what you wanted, now I'm going to Maiden, MegaDeth, Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax, etc concerts right down the street from a "Holy Temple" in Salt Lake City... God Really Does Hate Us All... (And he listens to Slayer...) |
| Slipknot – Surfacing Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Wow, I've been avidly listening to the Slip(KnoT, not the album by NIN) and as I watch interviews and stuff on YouTube, I just gotta say... Damn, my life seems to be going just like Corey and gang's! They lived in an overly religious area in Des Moines and I live in goddamn, fucking, fuck, fuck Utah. People judged him, I get people lifting up the sleeves on my SoaD hoodie at school to make sure I'm not cutting (That's MCR faggots, not SlipKnoT or System) Anyway, I can really relate to Corey's thinking in the slipknot and Iowa albums... Small religious hick-towns suck... but make really fucking amazing bands. |
| System of a Down – 36 Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Live at your own pace? This song is about how people revolve their life around TV and TV Schedule... TV sucks, much like the message of Violent Pornography... | |
| Iron Maiden – The Number Of The Beast Lyrics | 17 years ago |
This song has to have SOME sorta resemblence to The Omen. At the end the Bible quote that Vincent Price recites at the beginning of the song pops up. I got so afraid of the Omen, I don't blame Adrian or whoever saw it for getting freaked out. I laugh at quote, unquote "Scary Movies" like Halloween, Friday the 13th, Saw, Nightmare on Elm Street, etc, but this freaked me out beyond belief. |
| Megadeth – Kill The King Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Because that's what Mr. Mustaine does Axington, he has lyrics that make you think... usually. They're politically liberal and violent. I know in some cases you don't have to see throught the lines (Chorus of Symphony of Destruction and most of Peace Sells in example) but you get more out of it if he uses metaphores than "Hey, I killed the king... so I sang about it" |
| The Used – Pieces Mended Lyrics | 17 years ago |
It got kind of confusing, at the end I thought he was screaming "Mormon" and it didn't make any sense... I love this song, and this band... Though they're getting a little too mainstream, this album was their best |
| Megadeth – Liar Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I love this song, Mustaine is my Hero! Its basically about Poland stealing his awesome equip for some heroin and said he never did it. I'm pretty sure this sparked a certain The Used song "Liar Liar (Burn in Hell)" |
| Dethklok – Awaken Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Ya its about the beast they "Awaken" while they try to apologize to Finland for almost destroying the country (According to the show) The only REAL music TV channel is VH1 Classics, all about Metal and Hard Rock, I've seen This Is Spinal Tap, Metal Docs, Concerts, etc on that, not a single reality show in sight! |
| The Used – Goodbye to You Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Uhh this is Bulimic... | |
| The Used – Queso Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Well, the cheesy song thing was pretty funny, but at the end Berty kinda makes a fake laughing sound to cover up what he did... Like on Cartoons when the main charrie does something bad he just grins and makes a fake sorta laugh? | |
| Guns N' Roses – Welcome To The Jungle Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Well, first off, when Axl moved from Indianna to LA "an old balck guy" yelled "Welcome to the Jungle Baby! You're Gonna Die!" And the song was based off a time he was in Seattle with the band and he noted how much more small a rural Seattle was to Los Angeles. Kill or be Killed is the mentality in this song, basically what every rock star (besides Metallica and currently Areosmith) comes to know... Drugs, Alchohal, Sex, Money, Fame |
