| Camera Obscura – My Maudlin Career Lyrics | 9 years ago |

This song is hauntingly beautiful. It has been growing on me since I first heard it several months ago. Every time I listen to it, a different verse lingers in my mind for days. Beautiful and alluring songs like this one probably don't have explicit meanings, but I can share my own interpretation, which of course is often heavily influenced by our own experiences. Based on the correct lyrics found from their album or spotify (the lyrics posted here are incorrect at parts) it would appear this song is about a women who has an intense history with someone that they were deeply in love with. It seems the relationship was toxic in some way and she wants to give up. It seems that the man she was in love with had some intense sadness or emotional problems and she was sick all the all the sentiment that was not reciprocated, taking on all his emotional baggage on her own. Maudlin is defined as highly sentimental and tearful, which seems to fit in with many individual lines in this song. This is the sort of song that sticks with me every time I hear it. The way the song flows is so unique, it's just verse after verse of story and raw emotion, just beautiful. |

Sounds like something most young people go through, discovering themselves. They can't handle relationships, have little meaningless flings as the "inbetweens" of meaningful relationships with deep love. They don't know what to feel about their life or themselves. |

It seems to me that the song is about a life that doesn't seem to be getting any better, and perhaps the reasoning for this is due to internal conflicts, not due to external conflicts. It sounds like someone struggling with depression or a generalized melancholy. |

| Mumm-ra – She's Got You High Lyrics | 13 years ago |
| "She's got you high and you don't even know yet" makes me think that a guy has strong feelings for a girl, but they might be so subtle that he doesn't even realize he has them. | |

At least how I see it, the song is a progression of the "story" or his "thoughts". The chorus is the general theme while each of the 3 verses continue the story separately. You can see the progression of it, by the last verse he admits to himself he'll never see her again. Either way, really depressing, this has happened to me a few times, it's horrible. |
