damnit! i'm a huge mattafix fan (or at least i thought i was :) ) but i had no idea about the new album (released in september) which is clearly no longer new >.< just heard this song, and it is truly heartwarming it's a great find because in about three weeks i'm heading to kenya to participate in aid work in the rural areas and i'm really looking forward to it. I interpret this as a message of hope, not just in the dafur region but all of Africa, and even broader for the whole world. Despite the almost infinite hardships faced by countless millions each day "See tears that flow like rivers from the skies. Where it seems there are only borderlines" the song seems to suggest that eventually all these hardships will be conquered by the strength and determination of the people themselves. |
