| I actually like the album version better than the French TV one (both are great) but I think the album version has a more desperate, creepy mood. Its example of how PJ can create such a strong atmosphere with a simple song. | |

Fiona wrote this as a positive break up song because she writes so many angry ones. It looks back at all her relationships and how they ended badly but you can still appreciate what you had, let go of the angry feelings towards eachother and move on. I agree there is humour in the “silly stupid pastime of mine” bit |
