Radiohead – Videotape Lyrics 17 years ago
I love this song, extremely. So beautiful.

The lyrics are pretty straight forward. It's about a guy leaving a videotape behind for his family since he's aobut to die.

Great song. Radiohead are incredible.

Radiohead – All I Need Lyrics 17 years ago
I think this songs about the guy in love with this girl although she doesn't take much notice or care of him.

"I am a moth who just wants to share your light"

Quite possibly referring to moths that are attracted to lights and end up dieing because of it. Meaning he is like a moth and she is the light, he is attracted and in love with this women but when he gets to her she doesn't want him and kills him, not literally though.

"I am in the middle of your picture
Lying in the reeds"

Gives off an image that he is literally in lying low in a picture behind some reeds looking up at the girl he loves while she has no idea he's there and is smiling at the camera. Giving the impression that she doesn't take notice of him.

The same goes to the line, "I am an animal trapped in your hot car". Once again, she doesn't care about him and leaves him dieing in the hot car.

The Who – The Punk And The Godfather Lyrics 17 years ago
To me this song is about the difference between the Government (Godfather) and the citizens (The Punk). It's a political song.

Some examples:

The whole first verse basically is saying that the godfather has shown the punk how to live his life among other things.

"We tried to speak between lines of oration
You could only repeat what we told you.
Your axe belongs to a dying nation,
They don\'t know that we own you.
You\'re watching movies trying to find the feelers,
You only see what we show you.
We\'re the slaves of the phony leaders
Breathe the air we have blown you."

That's some more as well. More obviously where it says they only see what we show you meaning the government is controlling what they see and think along with they only breathe what they blow you so that also means the citizens or the punks can only do what the government tells or lets them to do.

It's quite obvious that it's political, I really don't know how any of you haven't picked it up before.

Pink Floyd – If Lyrics 17 years ago
Well, I feel this song is about how sometimes you are just not good enough.

"If I were a train
I'd be late
And if I were a good man
I'd talk with you more often than I do"

As you can see there it's as if Roger's showing how sometimes people just want to be perfect etc.
