it think in the first 2 verses (Verse 1 - I took a walk around the world to Ease my troubled mind I left my body laying somewhere In the sands of time I watched the world float to the dark Side of the moon I feel there is nothing I can do, yeah Verse 2 - I watched the world float to the Dark side of the moon After all I knew it had to be something To do with you I really don’t mind what happens now and then As long as you’ll be my friend at the end) the theme of watching the world float to the dark side of the moon comes from the scenes in all the superman movies etc where he flies out of the earths atmosphere and actually does see the earth from far away.Its like him looking at a picture of the earth from behind the moon.now the dark side of the moon obviously symbolises the darkness he is feeling.just as you would take a walk to clear your mind he as a superman takes a walk around the earth literally where he sees everything from above. i also agree that his girlfriend or whatever they are to each other is his kryptonite ,his weakness.its like he is the strongest man but his feelings for her make him vulnerable.he is at the mercy of these feelings. |
