This is a continuing theme that reflects Crush and Devour. Lots of deep heated sexual frustration in this song, its made more explicit than ever than in any other Johnny Truant song, really wearing it on their sleeves. "You're giving in to me I'm holding aces oh queen of darkness I thirst for you" its my favourite line, its as though they are telling story of sexual games between them and the one they are thirsting for, lyrically brilliant! When you listen to this album without the lyrics you'll miss out the underlying theme of this album. Sure it sounds angry, but there's so much more to it. The whole album weaves us from their journey these past few years, money, alcohol, love, lust and loss, it's all there! |

God I love these guys, more people need to comment on this! that aside the whole No Tears for The Creatures album lyrically came across as a much more personal reflection of the bands lives than the previous two albums, thats why I love it most of all! We're invited into walking with there souls... You can almost smell the frustration and anger! "wonderfuck I'm still in love with you..." I'm pretty sure that this song is about longing for a lost love, and they're very pissed off! |
