I know i was saying to myself "How can she be alive when their son marries, even though they were only married for a year?" lol. Anyways besides the extremely desperate "ill have some of that..." line, this song is very good. well done |

Song is too true...life is too short. Do what you REALLY want to do. Not what your friends, peers, or even family wants you to do. Dont go to school if you dont want a degree, dont work for an asshole just for money, do EXACTLY what you want to do. Never do anything else...trust me. I go to school, trying to be big and make money in my later years, but now i realize I should have stayed home and become a cowboy. just a waste of money and time. |

To the leftists out there,
you make yourself look so moronic by attacking the one with the conservative view (tempflux). He didnt criticize anybody, didnt express opinion, he didnt even bash the band singing a song with views which he opposes. Its amazing how fast you jump on people with conservative views, just because you think youre so right. Rager: sure the middle east supplies oil, but it is home of some of the largest terrorist organizations in existence. most of you are so brainwashed by media propaganda (don't try and deny it), that you still resort to going against your own country. I mean sure most of you dont like president Bush, but why do have to criticize your own nation? It blows my mind...
anyways from a musical standpoint I liked this song. From a political standpoint, it just fits in with the 5 million other songs opposing the war. |

yes! I just almost cried listening to that part when the plumber talks about his kids. This song literally converted me to country music. I absolutely love it.
I just left my small northern california town, and am now going to an urban 4-year university, and this song gets me so sad!. Im only about an hour and a half's drive from home but i still miss all my family and friends and it makes me so sad that my days of being young and stupid are over. This song always touches me... |

if you watch the music video, the song is actually a story. Its a very powerful video/song, and actually almost made me cry.
It is about 2 men, one goes and works for the government, one goes on his own. The powerful man (government guy) fights liberal anarchists, while the natural guy goes and fights the government. They each work their way to the top of their sides, and in the end, they fight against each other. During this huge riot, each sees the other, and both are killed by the opposing sides.
The song is about how growing up changes people no matter what. I highly encourage you to watch the video. |
