i first heard this song in a friends car stereo a few months ago, and the melody just wouldnt leave me.. and im glad it didnt. it introduced me to justin nozuka, and im thrilled that he is finally getting the recognition he deserves for such brilliant music. this song is fairly obvious- its the thoughts of a person in love, but unsure of the depth of their companion's feelings. it reminds me that time period in the beginnings of a relationship. everything is so thrilling because your feelings are fresh and new, but at the same time theres that little shadow of doubt in the back of your mind that wonders exactly how things are gonna turn out. theres so much hope in this song. its beautiful. |

i absolutely love this song, and i relate to it so well. 'And I hear your words that I made up You say my name like there could be an us' its feeling yourself fall for a person who says the right things but is completely wrong for you in every way, and yet you still make up excuses to explain away his actions while he leads you on. 'Well I hear your words you made up So I say your name like there could be an us I best tidy up my head I’m the only one in love' but i love the last verse where the perspective kind of shifts. now it turns from someone misinterpreting a persons intentions, to someone who is learning to recognize empty words for what they are. its sad in the way that relationships coming to an end are always sad, but empowering as well.. very bittersweet. |
