It's those nights where tempers have flared the fight has been fought, noone has won, noone will win. It's exhausting, each to their own please, it's so, so painfully tiring, can't we just sleep and the morning will rescue us from the hell of this fight and these feeelings. Things are always better in the morning. |

It's that first pang of loneliness when the person you are or have fallen for has gone away. The moments seem like an eternity and nothing quite fills the gap which their presence has left. It can be quite embarrassing and undignified, that feeling, yet it is very real and cannot be controlled, all you can do is wait.. and wait.. |

The song depicts a man, torn by his feelings for his partner, but feels compelled to leave. He is hurt, angry and embittered, his language shows the extent and deep hurt of this anger, which he can no longer control. He has cared for this woman, given his all to her, looked after her, accepted her baggage, which seems to have been used as an excuse for her actions during the relationship. She is the true depiction of the victim. If she were to sing a song to him, it would be Boys Don't Cry by The Cure. "I would tell you That I loved you If I thought that you would stay But I know that it's no use That you've already Gone away Misjudged your limits Pushed you too far Took you for granted I thought that you needed me more" She has been manipulative, uncaring, demanding and he's at breaking point, it's over, she could never be the woman he wanted her to be and she could never leave behind 'all she's been through'. He is now giving up his carers role and this relationship. |
