I think Miley wrote this song about Nick and even though they write so much bad stuff about her in the newspapers I believe that she's a great girl and not a slut at all. "And I don't ever wanna see you sad Be happy 'Cause I don't wanna hold you If you don't wanna tell me you love me, babe Just know I'm gonna have to walk away I'll be big enough for both of us to say Be happy" - I think that it was very brave of her to say something like this in a song and it's truly coming from her heart, she's strong enough to move on but isn't like the most girls who talk bad about their ex afterwards, she moves on but still got him good in her memory. |

I pretty much agree with what the others found out about the meaning of this song, I'm not too sure about the relationship between Cory and Taylor. I doubt she really knew him as a friend, it was more that he was so hot and beautiful and she just watched him and he never even noticed her. He had way bigger plans but she always hoped that he might walk abck into her life on day. - such an adorable song and totally relatable :] |

I think it has a completely different meaning. I don't even think this is abut the relationship between a girl and a guy, it's more like between two friends. The one is shutting out the other one out of her life, because she has been hurt. Maybe by a man, referring to the line "talk to the man that put you here" Now the other one really wants to help her but is always being shut out so she just hopes for her friend to "come in with the rain", talk to her and tell her everything. She wants her to tell the truth, rain is always something pure and clean and washes away, so she hopes for her friend to do the same. The singer has given up on chasing after her friend, trying to get to her and now simply waits for her to come along, but this is not gonna happen as long as the other girl doesn't figure out her feelings and is ready to talk. Obviously the singer is hurt by being shut out and after trying everything she realizes there's nothing she can do but wait f her friend to "come in with the rain" |
