ah i love this song, i just heard it randomly at a party and hav been obsessed for a while now haha.. for me its really about how he's had a rough time, been getting into a lot of trouble with drinking etc. lately also he's life isn't doing to well, he keeps stuffing up i.e 'put one foot forward and ended up 30 yards back' so him moving to New York is like his solution for it and im guessing the 'problems wit my sleep' is cause New York is the city that never sleeps (like everyone else above has been saying) well thats my take.. but then again im not very good at this stuff |

this is definately my favourite song on the album it really caught my attention when i was first listening to the cd and it is one of the only songs on there i actually half understand haha.. to me it is about how when people die, they still live on in your head. And he kind of fell for the trick of always re-living his memories, and now he can't get out of his head the 'time is so short and im sure, there must be something more' bit seems to me to be about how he has realised life is short and there must be something more than just re-living old memories.. well thats my take on it anyway.. |

when i first heard this song i cried.. it has so much feeling! to me it is obviously about someone dying and their memory wont let her go and move on shes really sad but also angry at the person for not letting her go either cuz she was always there for them and looked after them and now when shes trying to move on they are still there.. well thats wat i felt anyway |

yeah well its obvious wat its about.. i really love this song, gets stuck in your head really easily! but i thought id jus say something that no one has seemed to notice, which i think is on of the saddest lines 'it is you that took their first away from them' which is like, the uncle took 'their first' (i hoping u will get wat that means) away and that is an experiance they will never be able to get bac, they had no choice on it |

i think its kind of like his pain wont go away.. idk i love this song tho.. when i first heard it i was like 'boring' and then i couldnt get it outta my head so i had to listen to it again and then when i was actually paying attention it nearly made me cry for me its just as if he really loves this girl but she left him for another guy (duh) and hes trying really hard to get over it and get control of himself and be happy that shes happy |

i love this song.. it always makes me want to cry to me he is singing about a girl who left him, and although he knows she will be able to do so much more without him and he really hopes she is happy he still wishes it hadn't ended that way.. or at all. This song actually reminds me of when i moved away and left my best friend behind |
