it sounds as if he was a soldier (that's why he is a hero for everybody) and died leaving her with all the grief and that's what makes her angry (and what makes him not being her hero anymore) or maybe is too easy interpretation, but that's what comes to my mind when i first heard it |

it's definately about running away from problems, I think she's a dreamer, that had been crushed by reality after a long time of living in illusion. She realizes now that she can't be with the guy she dreams about every night. And it probably kills her, beacuse knowing that won't make the dream go away. Maybe they're too different to "find each other" and at the same time too busy trying, to be found by somebody else. what's sure she wants to get rid of this feelings and have she's careless life back it's also probable that identify myself with her too much to see the truth meaning of the song but whatever;) it's still a great tune |
