Everyone seems to think this is such a happy song... Do you not detect a hint of sarcasm or desperation in the "so happy, so happy" repeat at the end? Like the happiness is being forced? Like maybe they are singing about a drunken or drug induced happy high, when everything else is going wrong in life, but everything seems great when you are on the high.. but then coming back to reality at the end?? Sorry for bringing pessimistic thoughts in! Love the song and the Wombats :) |
