Oceansize – A Homage To A Shame Lyrics 17 years ago
I think pmassey's got it, though the overall style of the song also backs up his argument: Oceansize has the ability to keep a song interesting and textured, without having all their songs clock in at three minutes long with flashy guitar solos and poppish lyrics.

Oceansize – Meredith Lyrics 17 years ago
This just struck me last night, but I think this song is about trying to do something you've been doing easily without a second thought all your life, but failing miserably. "Gravity, gravity, why oh why you try to fail me" describes something you have taken for granted all your life all of the sudden faltering or going awry. "This creeping, and seething/I pull it on to make you grow/While I'm waiting for the lights to change" reminds me of waking in the middle of the night and fumbling to turn on a light so I can see what the hell I'm doing, but having a hard time doing so and getting pissed off.

Tinfoil's interpretation makes a lot of sense too. I really like the atmosphere the textured guitars create, sounds a bit like Hybrid to me.
