To me the song seems like it could be about reincarnation. The idea that when we die, we are reborn in another life. there's a place I'd like to go somewhere out west, it's not specific, and the pictures show it best. I really relate to this song but more in a metaphorical way than anything if that makes sense. It also reminds me of a situation my friend is in, and this song pretty much spells it out perfectly, Which really breaks my heart because she's the one being used. I think when she sings 'And my blood won't stick To the confines of my veins. And your heart Is gonna tear mine away.' she means that she wishes she could be independent from him but her blood(feelings/emotions) won't stay confided to just her and they continue to branch out and latch on to him because she needs him. And she knows that she has such an attachment to him that when he is finaly finished with her and leaves its going to completely tear her apart |

This song reminds me so much of my friend, well at least the first half. She was always so such a happy, energetic girl, soo fun. But then she got involved with this guy who is always nice to her one day and ignores her the next. he makes promises he never keeps and won't commit to her. he's always with another girl at the same time. he just texts her to hook up but never to hang out. she jumped in so quckly and rushed everything but didn't end up getting anything out of it. It completely broke her confidence and now she's obseesive about him always trying to read his mixed signals and trying to keep him happy. I really hope she eventually gets to be the girl in the second half of the song, cause this girl definitely deserves so much better. :) |

well i kind of have a different opinion about this song. I think its about a guy whos girlfriend is and acoholic and a partier. And he feels like all she wants to go out and drink and party and he has to support them both (financially) "And left me with a pile of bills to pay) The chorus is just saying that hes had enough and her behaviour isn't cute, and he wants her to leave. Then hes talking about how hes given up being polite and putting up with her and he's thrown his manners out like he threw out her keyes (cuz she was drunk and couldn't drive) and hes not gonna go out with her and the drunken people she pretends are herfriends. "so here it is your final lullaby" is like this is the last time i am putting u to bed after u have passed out so ya thats what i think its about. I guy whos girlfriend has a severe drinking probelm and doesnt know how to handle it and doesn't want to put up with it anymore |

i sad that no one has commented yet 'cause i really wanted to know what people thought about this song.....i luv it!♥ THis is just my what i get from the song..but im sure people have other opinion that i would like to hear I think its pretty much about how sometimes life feels like its all about what u wear and how u act and how cool u are and how everything is about trends... and one girl just wants people to forget about that stuff because the people u are trying to impress aren't really as important as u think they are and "they don't know you like I knew you back home." THe girl is just like god save everybody from this superficial life people try to lead i don't know if thats right or not but thats what i got out of it.....also i think its kinda saying that evn if you are wrapped up in trends and being cool, there always still peope who love u despite those things |
