HammerFall – One Of A Kind Lyrics

You're close, but they're singing about the Deluge (part of the first Northern Wars). Sweden v. Poland and the Russo-Polish War were both conflicts that took place in 1666 (1654-1667 to be exact). Poland was attacked by many smaller nations, which rose up against it because the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth was getting too big/strong. This huge conflict is the "thunder in the east" and Russia, Sweden, and other countries are the "rising forces," and the beast that no warrior could subdue was the Polish super-state. Also, the Brothers In Arms part might just be all the Swedish warriors, but it could mean that everyone stood up against Poland. In addition, 1666 was the climax. Because Hammerfall is Swedish, the whole part about "healing our nation" which was "once glorious and grand," might be because Poland-Lithuania occupied much of what Sweden used to have control over when the Swedish Vikings reigned supreme in the Dark Ages. It's about propaganda and religion and news brainwashing the public, so that the leaders and governments can take total control. The "in the name of Fascism" and "undo their Liberal state" parts pretty much some it up.

Mr. Jack sounds like a government official, cop or FBI or something, and the "little people" are doing justice when he abuses his power, by using mouthwash to blind him and guns to shoot him, after they run him off the road. Also, its U-Fig like the song, not you pig. But the song U-Fig is about beating up pathetic flag waving official hypocrites.

Idealization without consonants = IEAIAIO. This is the ideal version of America (Sarcasm). The first part is gossip, the affairs and secret meetings and murdered cops. It reflects American "comics" The "Bubbles erotica" part is off of a song on the same album called bubbles, which is about the arms race. Seeing America thrives on violence and the arms race the plutonium wedding rings is sarcastically saying what sacred unions will come too in the near future. This is all represented by the American flag on the Fourth of July, the bubble is also like an explosion like the fourth of July, but with plutonium. Red007's review above is also good and plausible.

The "guiding light" in the song before this one on the album "owns the working class" and "proclaims itself a god." It controls everything, like V-chips do, which is why this is most likely about brainwashing. The spiders are the chips that will eventually control your dreams through mass censorship, brainwashing, and propaganda. The cover of the single has a eight-"legged" chip on it. They are all in tune keeping complete and perfect order. The storm "her" head, the ideas and propaganda. And in order to stop this from happening to us we must "Awake" in order to know the real truth.

The protests in 1989 China broke out in many cities across China and the violence began on June 4th in Tienanmen square in Beijing, right after they replaced quite a few government officials that were pro-students. The military units in Beijing would not attack, so they brought in outside units to kill the unarmed students. China tries to cover this up by not allowing their own people to research it. They also did not allow foreign news though two Americans got photos and some eye witness accounts of what happened because they were there because of they Gorbachev conference early that week. They try to cover it up and make the weak minded believe them. The news and propaganda and misinformation attempts to make it look like the military was just doing it's job, when in fact it was killing some of China's brightest kids. As for the car part, rumor has it that Daron wrote the lyrics while waiting for his girlfriend, though I don't think they were in Tienanmen Square, I think he just wanted to show that this is all happening while we are just doing normal day things.

The River Aras can make you think back to WWI, the genocide at that time was quite terrible, suggest reading On the Quai at Smyrna by Hemingway. The Turks were killed off first. Then they "killed" the Armenians and took back and "rested on the mountainsides," which is why they are liars and killers and murderers in the lyrics. Or the River Aras also has to do with the Cold War and Russia and the US. Which would make this song more about the Turks not liking America and Russia because they have no honor and they use their land as stomping ground.
