Bah I love Conor for mentioning Kum & Go in this. Because it's dead-on, they are everywhere here in Iowa and in the Omaha area. It's an especially meaningful line for my friends and me because we went to high school with the children of the people who founded/own it, and they're rich bastards. So that part always makes me chuckle. |

Was this verifiably written before 9/11? I've always thought of it as a commentary on what life will eventually become, due to the Patriot Act and more government control ... but that wouldn't make a lot of sense if this was written pre-2001. |

I love this song, I'm excited for this album.
I don't really have much to say about it, I think that what it's about is pretty obvious, but I love the upbeat music behind it. Brilliant. |
