| I feel that this may be about falling for a girl who's kind of a shallow bitch and feeling stupid about it when its over but still feeling sad. The line "Shocked that you can drown in so much shallowness" seems to fit what I think. Obviously it's just how I interpret it though. | |

| This hits close to home since I was homeless for a few months. There is a disconnect from you and people with homes, it almost feels like a class system or something. They are usually truly just humans down on their luck. It's a rather cynical song, but it is true that people kindof see the homeless as much less of a person. It's like "I want to help them, I just don't want them in my sight or to talk to me." Now that I am not homeless people treat me much better even though I have always been the same person. | |

I happen to have the official song book, and it has some stuff that she wrote, but she changes a lot from these lyrics so she could have changed this too. This is what is says is in the bridge. You can do it good girl right foot, left foot (She hand wrote this part so it's kinda hard to understand)--right, that's it, careful of the people with the ??? equal, put your seatbelt on-- careful of the table, watch it, watch it, watch it! posture, posture whats it gonna cost her officer call an ambulance, I think we've lost her! Obviously some of the stuff got changed because theres no "poke him with something and see if he's moving, ok!" and in the song i think they say "i think we've lost 'HIM'" but this was on here original copy of the lyrics. |
