This sounds like it is about a guy with a passive-aggressive resentment towards his fat girlfriend he lives with. |

Yeah, it's kind of obvious. People pretend like they, and their loved ones, are never going to die because they're afraid of it. It also claims that there is no heaven, you only live on in others' memories. |

Sometimes a robot man is just a robot man. And he is making fun of them. And possibly has them confused with native americans? |

| Scorpions – Humanity Lyrics

You could see this as being about every individual's fate when facing mortality, but it could also be about humanity as a whole.
Auf wiedersehen can be translated as "until we meet again", which I'm not sure if it's just used as a variant of "goodbye" or if it implies that it really is about individual(s) and the afterlife.
Another way to look at it is that it isn't about mortality, but saying goodbye to "humanity", i.e. morality. That runs more in line with the video, but videos don't necessarily mean the same thing as the lyrics. In this sense, it could be condemning people in general for their lack of attention towards the suffering in the world, paying more time and attention to things that are ultimately inconsequential. Oh... |

| Sting – Inside Lyrics

The song appears to be about the premise that love is characterized by destruction and suffering. But I can't tell if it's being sung by a character that has experienced love-related suffering, or if it's a general statement made by the singer to the audience. The huge number of metaphors mixed with potential metaphors make this hard to interpret. Normally I'd say that, unless there was an official statement, you should just take it literally, but I don't think he wants to annihilate babies, so there's gotta be *something* in there. He's just bad at communicating it, I'm afraid. |

He has been permanently scarred - or damaged, if you prefer - and is unable to return to his old life. He has become cynical and distrusting, which implies he was betrayed, but I think that is a minor point. He hopes that he isn't suffering for nothing, and that something good can come of this. |

Once we were "stronger" because we knew our limits. Now we overextend ourselves, living beyond our means, and it will catch up to us. Ignorance keeps us from realizing this. |

It's about how people think they need to believe in the supernatural, but they don't.
But it seems to be addressing the church(es) rather than god itself. |

The song is about how people's ignorance makes them self-destructive, perpetuating cycles of corruption. The subject is trying to find a way out of the mess, wondering if they are alone in realization of what's going on. Eventually they are resigned to the fact that they are alone, so they want to escape reality, and thus "consign to oblivion". Or put bluntly, die. |

The song can be summarized as "deal with it". The subject has apparently screwed up big time and has to deal with paralyzing regret. Depression, not so much. |

I found it completely by chance, actually. Good for me, asking before looking. Anyways, someone said it was Portuguese and gave the following translation:
Você precisa direcção --> You need direction
Me diga a verdade --> Tell me the truth
Protecção --> Protection |

| Nightwish – Bye Bye Beautiful Lyrics

It's definitely a song about being forsaken by a friend.
The first part is about being tired of fighting within a group of friends.
The chorus is about remembering what they went through and hoping that the one that forsook them could remember what it meant. The last line shows optimism on their part that this will happen eventually.
Jacob's ghost is probably making a comparison with Jacob Marley from A Christmas Carol. He is the ghost of Christmas past, trying to remind of the past, how they used to be idealistic friends, and how all that changed.
Loving the scars from the words means that they are glad they stood up for themselves and take the attack for what they were rather than give in, which would belittle themselves. |

I interpret this song to be about revenge. Someone has their potential in life stolen away, along with many others, in some unnamed tragedy. This transforms him into a cynical (doubting) person. This person looks for the ones to blame in order to be freed from the regret he has lived with for so long, to move on with their life. |
