okay for one. all you people claming to be emo or hardcore that preach this movie and song and how it makes you cry are giving a bad, bad reputation to anyone who likes it because it's a good movie and a good song. even tho yea both of them have deeper meanings and almost anyone can relate to them, doesn't mean you have to come on here saying how it made you cry so you're happy. I agree with the dude who said I'm not gonna tell you if conforming is bad or good. And totally, agree with what you want, not with what the mass media says, or the underground person says (even tho underground emo whiney rock is mass media now, *ahem* for good music with deep meaning listen to chimaira, system of a down, deftones etc. *ahem*) "All around me are familiar faces Worn out places, worn out faces" -Everyone around this person sees the same people everyday, the same places and it's gotten boring, aka worn out. "Bright and early for their daily races Going nowhere, going nowhere" -Daily races doesn't nessecarily mean races, but metaphorically, the daily races could mean people doing the best they can at everything everyday when most of what they do is pointless in the end. Doing good in everything in school doesn't actually land you a good job like most people are told to believe. "And their tears are filling up their glasses No expression, no expression" - YES! Emo whiners! listen to this line, the guy is compaining about you, well you and the kids who cause drama everyday cuz their lives revolve around them. Every little deal is made into something so big becuase people need attention, and this happens all the time. "Hide my head I want to drown my sorrow No tommorow, no tommorow" - The guy has tried to talk to someone about how fucked up the world is (not from an emo or hardcore point of view, not at all, from a person who is actually smart and down to earth point of view) but the person or people he talked to don't understand him. So he just keeps it to himself. Which often results in real suicide, NOT EMO-LY CUTTING YOUR WRISTS FOR ATTENTION. SUICIDE IS NOT A GAME YOU FUCKS. "And I find it kind of funny I find it kind of sad The dreams in which I'm dying Are the best I've ever had" - He finds it funny and sad just because, you can't explain that, but the dreams where he dies are the best he's ever had is probably because in your dreams you can do anything and go anywhere, and when you die you can supposedly do the same. ANd in your dreams everything is how you want it, so obviously being in his dreams and dying is just pure elation. "I find it hard to tell you Cause I find it hard to take When people run in circles It's a very, very Mad World" - I find it hard to tell you- he's finding it hard to explain how he can't stand the world. I find it hard to take- sometimes he's astonished by how fucking idiotic people can be (wanksters acting like they're tough killers, preps acting like they own the world, emos acting like the whole world is against them.) When people run in circles... and so on is just basically how it's the same thing all the time and all this nutty, absurd, self centerness results in it being a literally mad, or mad as in crazy world. "Children waiting for the day they feel good Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday" -Kids wait for their birthday cuz on that day it's all about them and that's all they do is wait, other than that is just and crying or all that bullshit drama. "Made to feel the way that every child should Sit and listen, sit and listen" -Every child is assimilated into thinking that in this world, you have to make it top notch in school, you have to fit in, or you have to be different, you have to be cool, or you have to be uncool to be cool. When all you need to do is just.. be. For christ sake. "Went to school and I was very nervous No one knew me, no one knew me" -He goes to school where people often make fun of him or call him weird while all he can do is just sit there and watch as they live their selfish dramatic, classified lives while he just shakes his head because now he's labelled as whatever they want him to be. "Hello teacher tell me what's my lesson Look right through me, look right through me" -Teachers are not amazing adults that are smarter than anyone alive that pay are nice to every student that comes in the classroom and have patience of steel. Teachers are just regular people that have regular feelings, no different. They even label kids as preps, wiggers, skids, emos, and since this kid doesn't make a big deal about himself, the teacher doesn't pay any attention to him and probably grades him averagely, where as the emo and the prep who argue in class about whose cooler, the prep walkin all over the emo and the teacher loving it, and the emo sayin how pathetic and conformist the prep is and not looking at themselves and the teacher loving that too, get high marks becuase they're favoured. Fuck I just wish more people would understand the world through down to earth, real eyes. Not clouded by media or whatever they're told to. |
