I think this song is about a girl that chris knows, who has an eating disorder. Him and all of her friends all think she is beautiful, yet she doesn't see the beauty in herself. The line "If you knew her, you'd ask me so many questions" is referring to people who ask him about the girl, because she's so pretty and elusive. Also, he says " WE miss you so" and "we need you back" means she is in rehab for her eating disorder. The line "I promise that you've never looked so good without that face on" is telling her she looks the most beautiful when she doesn't wear her "mask" to hide from everyone else. this is a truly beautiful song. |

i'm sure it has to do with god somehow, but since im not religious, i think this is what it means. he and this girl liked eachother, but he messed things up, but wants to forgive her. obviously, everyone knows what the song is about. it's the worst feeling in the world to find out that the person you love cheated on you. it's basically them saying "i don't love you." i lost my virginity to a guy who i thought was special. he was the one who said HE loved ME, and at when he said he did i wasn't sure i loved him back. eventually, i realized i really did love him, and i could imagine spending the rest of my life with him. he told me he loved me and meant it every single day, then one day i found out he liked someone else, MY friend. she didn't know we were in a relationship, and when i asked him about it, he didn't deny it. i haven't heard him say he loved me since. :/ |

it's so sad to hear this song after the death of MJ! it is a really beautiful song, and a little ironic. this song is about two people who are in love, and have both been through some tough times. they have both had rough lives, and together he feels like they are okay. he is promising that he won't ever hurt her or let her go. i especially love the verse: The nights are gettin' darker And there's no peace in sight So why make our lives harder By fighting love tonight. basically saying don't fight the love, go along with it because it will make them happier. really great song, too bad there wasn't an opportunity to record more Akon and MJ together. |

this song is deff one of my favorite songs. i think it is about a guy who likes a girl and he wants her to feel loved, he wants her to love her back. she does love him back, but just won't open up to him. He will tell her she's beautiful and she won't believe him.
