i think Satan's rainbow is all video games. it plays on the old pot of gold at the end of the rainbow idea. you can keep walking searching for the end of the rainbow and you'll never get anything of value from it. but there is always the thought that playing on will get you something in the end. This song is screaming about the effect of gaming on people. remembering this is in 1997 its hard to say much has changed in the world, i still get sucked into games wondering 'whats at the end' 11 years on. |

This is an amazing song that descibes many feelings of disgust and hatred felt by many australians towards past prime minister john howard and his party. the music video directed by Gavain Browne displays many images from john Howard's time in power (e.g. wheat, oil on bread, etc). favourite lines from this song for me are "An ethical choice is simpler if you price it" "You turned us into a nation of haters Far right appeaser Believer in whatever get you leader" i didn't think any artwork or song could capture my resentment towards Howard's government but this song does. Everything must change. i hope Rudd is up to it |
