The title probably has something to do with the song itself. I think its about a guy who was raised in a religion, but grew up and wandered away from it, until he he hit rock bottom...the light could be his soul. |

I think its about a guy who rapes a virgin. Maybe she's supposed to be taking medication (girl are you on your...meds). And nobody believes that she has been raped because of her mental history. She was religious and felt ashamed. He also felt ashamed and went to several sources to eradicate it from his memory. In the end the shame eats both of them alive and they die. Just my interpretation, I'm probably wrong though. |

The beat...is catchy, but thats the only nice thing I can say about this song. This song is disgusting, and its pathetic that songs like this make it to the top of the charts. It has no meaning, it doesnt make you think, and it doesnt make a lasting impact. The girl this was made after should probably get tested for every STD out there and then get some self respect. Its ok to embrace sexuality, but this is shouldnt be the way to do that. There is no way in hell that whatever inspired him to write this, was reflecting on something special other than a fraction of the day he spent getting laid. I shouldnt be criticizing something I didnt help make, but this song is a prime example of how shallow we are to write about blow jobs. |

I know nothing about the history of the title, but this song is amazing. Absolutely my favorite song. It actually reminds me of my cousin's funeral. I love how this song has so much emotion, every time I play it, it brings me back to that day. |
