It's not about fucking incest. Josh himself has said it's inspired by the old Doc Pomus' song *ghasp* Little Sister back from 1961 which wasn't about incest EITHER and clearly states it's about a younger of two sisters, one of which he was dating. Personally, this song reminded me of a book - The Book of the New Sun, most propably becouse I first heard the song right after I finished the book. Some lines especialy bring my toughts back to book
"Chase me through the dark.." like the journey Severian embarked on and he's meeting with the woman he loved, also:
"First to reach the stars
Wins a broken heart"
is remarkably reminecent for me.
