He found the perfect girl and she dumped him. He's still heartbroken. This is the only song that puts me on the verge of tears. I fell hard for a girl, she decided to date someone else, and I was crushed. That was the lowest I have ever been. Soon after, I heard this song and it hit me like a ton of bricks.We eventually reunited and it still didnt work, but I had closure.This tune reminds me of the power of a song and how it can impact you. That was a horrible time in my life but one that I learned a lot from. And this song will always be part of me. The group didn't last long but they had this one song I could relate to that impacted me. |

10 years ago I decided if I ever got married, I wanted this song played at my wedding. Im still single, but I STILL want it played at my wedding if there is one. That will never change. |

This is the worst song ever written. At least half of it consists of random lines that have nothing to do with the song-which is very loosely about girls in the summertime.The fact that they had to resort to such things is a big indication that they are very poor songwriters and have no ideas or enough creativity to pull them off. |

Ive been intrigued about this one since I heard it on a Christian radio station. Either it does have a religious message or the programmer just thought it did. The line "don't believe the church and state, and everything they tell you" seems to disregard any pro-christian theme but the next verse sort of goes in an opposite direction. |
