No, Sonic Youth are not underrated. When I first heard them in the late 80ies on SST Records, all of my friends were listening to them. So, at that time they actually must have been big in the independent scene. But without internet and computers, it was tough to know how big they actually were or not. Also, if they would have been bigger, they probably wouldn't have been such a great influence as they had to us. This band produced so many great songs that bring back memories of Skateboarding and Concerts in the old days. Excelllent memories that I don't want to miss!!

I prefer the smiths version of the photo and that's not only because I am a vegetarian for over 18 years now.

I also first heard this song while watching almost famous (which is a great movie). The song is one of the most beatiful ones I have ever heard. Emotions go up and down by listening to the lyrics.

Mmm... Mike Vallely skating on a double tail World Industires skateboard in the early nineties when it was still all about skateboarding and not about the fashion show like kids have to follow these days. That was the first time I heard of Dinosaur Jr and I was listening to their songs and went to see their shows ever since. Such great memories! This song should NEVER be covered by other bands!!
