seems like it's about drugs to me. "interesting it seems to me the irony of ecstacy is coming down much harder than before " it brings you up and you feel amazing, then you come down and feel worse than you did before you did it. "interesting when you can see that normal life's like sleep-walking compared to all the things you once ignored " and "how can this be stopped when you just opened up the door? how can I go back to my home thinking life is such a bore?" being sober seems so boring. the drug has "opened the door" to this amazing side of life. "you wake me up when you're around it's just my luck can't do without and when you're gone watch as I drown you bring me down you bring me down... " "can't do without"- developing an addiction. "you wake me up"- seems like that's referring to one of the effects of the drug, which makes me think it is an upper. then there is the part about not wanting to sleep which is another effect of uppers |
