Well, to me this song is about my situation. Just got things going with this girl but she had just gotten out of a 4-5 year relationship. This have been really good for the first 2-3 weeks but we just had a talk cause she isn't ready to get back in a relationship. So to me the song is about getting a glimpse of something so right, but having it taken from you. "feels like when you have it, then it's gone". and so right now im just waiting for a friend to arrive from the past. hoping that there is still some sun left (our feelings for eachother) when she finally does arrive. I don't know, this song seemed pretty straight forward to me, mostly cause of my situation. |

I like this song. Anyone think that maybe the song could be about Rivers? Him finally getting married and having "lived a good life"? Also after the 2 minute mark on the song his singing kinda reminds me of Freddie Mercury. Anyone else think that? |

Totally relate to this song. Grew up in a small town and i did everything he talks about (except for the corpse thing and hockey, no frozen ponds in az). I personally love the new cd, and realize that there are thousands of bands that have a hit and try to carbon copy it cd after cd. Props to Weezer for making new music, keep it up! |
