This song is not about passover lol... Max, doesn't right songs about holidays, c'mon. I think that it's about him being in love with a girl who he thinks is going to leave him. And he threatens her that he'll make her feel just as empty as him. Or in the latter verse, kill her and preserve her(which I'm sure is just him taking it too far like he always does) I don't know what purple skies or toads represent, maybe he's just making references to the plague, especially about the scarlet river and everything. And by saying all he is saying that everyone goes through these things. The last part is where everything gets thrown off, but my best guess is that she was playing hard to get the whole time and making him miserable, but now she has had sex with him and completely given in to him. So he's probably over her and thus not miserable anymore, but that really is just the kind of person max is. |
