I really enjoy the line "I've had the rest of you, now I want the best of you, I don't care if that's not fair" It's like a girl hanging out with you, coming to you when she is sad, going out with you, telling you her secrets, yet won't commit to you." You KNOW it might not be fair because you should be happy with the friendship you have, but when in Love, just like it says.. Cuz I want it all, or nothing at all.. |

Another example is "How can I fight for someone when the person i'm wanting isn't even there" We all sometimes tend to live off the person we love that only exists in our mind.. But sadly, major realities might prove that person you love might only exist in your mind.. it's not really the other persons fault, it's just how it is sometimes.. And from how things are right now in MY situation, it SUCKS.. |

This song is EXACTLY what i'm going through.. This is how I see the song. You are with someone who DOES cares about you, but he or she really doesn't know what she wants, because things in her life (Whether it means someone else or other things) are either not letting her, or conflicting with what she wants. For example, an ex love in this situation.. Not letting go when they need to to move on. And for those that have been in that situation, when you are so in Love with someone, you can't "Handshake" the rest of your life away.. it gets to a point where it hurts so bad that you aren't with that person and being friends hurts, you have to tell them, it's all or nothing.. It's selfish, but sometimes when the person isn't attempting to work things through, you might have to move on.. Which leaves what Russell was asking.. What that line basically means is the general concept of fighting an already lost battle. If this person isn't fighting to get through what they need to get through to be happy, you can't fight with them.. It's a joint thing.. |
