I think this song is about a single person, or a small group of people who are basically begging the majority to see past the broken promises and lies of a tyrant/hilter/stalin figure. Please awake And see the truth He can only be If you believe what he tells you Remember who you are What you stand for And there will always be a way She is telling everyone to follow their own hearts and not believe this person, because he only has the power so long as they blindly follow him/her and even though there seems like there is no way from out of his power, there always is. For some reasons reminds me of the Bush Adminisration with all their lies and how people still mindlessly follow him despite the fact he ruined the reputation of the United States, started wars without just cause, and nearly crashed the economy, or did. |
