Let me clear this up for ya'll, he is actually saying "Go to the place your told" not "Under the bridge downtown". Artists sometimes do this, like Arcade Fire does in Lies, where everyone thinks theyre saying "Everytime you close your eyes, lies, lies" and there actually saying "everytime you close your eyes, that art thou". Listen to both the songs again if you want, maybe you'll see, or maybe you won't - remember its better to be ignorant and just believe what they tell you :) |

Hypnotized - This guy is actually hypnotizing you, a few seductive tricks in his lyrics and he has you, he uses this very well b/c he immediatly appeals to your insecurity - which all of us posses, and he then becomes your CRYSTAL BALLER, helps you look into the future through creating a sense of security in his song and voice. TEB has a bunch of songs that follow this outline, talks about insecurity subtly, and then announces that his voice is their for you, JUMPER is the same exact way, hes pretty brilliant i think |

First - The first thing you need to do to capture an audience is to convey to their sense of emoitional inadequecy and distress, after that, you have them, for they feel you can be the one to "understand" - "I want you to know, everyones got 2 faced down to demons" this creates a sense of security with the artist, you actually feel like the lead singer is your friend, when in actuality, he has no idea who you are. if you dont understand... i understand, were all in this together |
