"rainbow shirt ribbed in acid love and our lives are ribbed in plastic love" I do think that this song sounds like she wants to come out, to be honest about herself with everyone. The rainbow shirt is being gay and the acid love is the negativity and pain she knows come from bieng gay in our society. Plastic love is the fake admiration, the fake approval that these kids have to experience; the people that say that being gay is acceptable, but are really unaccepting and look down on it. |
