Hes saying that someone who hurt him is his inspiration for what he does and every day he uses that inspiration it tortures him a little. He's saying that people think him a monster but it was people like them that made him into what he is now, and when they critcize him they have themselves to blame. As to being angry at God, the fact that in the Believe album booklet david thanks God for the giving them the gift of music makes me think he doesn't hate god so much as he hates all the hyper religious "Christians" who often times are more judgemental and elitist than everyone else. |

I think the song is about loving someone but hating the things they do and in a way feeling repulsed by them and yourself for your feelings. Also that repulsion paired with a conflicting emotion is madening and the only way to save yourself is to leave them behind and find something untainted by their memory. |

It sounds like the guy leaves a wake of destruction and is afraid for the people around him. He also sees that this destruction has become a part of him and even though he wants to let it go its hard to change who he is. Despite the difficulty however he continues to try to change, refusing to surrender. The curse is an aspect of himself that he cant seem to get rid of. |

I think this song is about getting pushed around and telling the person they better enjoy it while it lasts because once they push you to the end of your restraint your going to push back, and push harder, stripping them of their pride.
The end seems to be offering the beaten party an opportunity to back down before they get realy screwed up. |

It sounds like someone that he cared about hurt him and hes horrified by their aparent satisfaction with his pain, it also sounds like there was a third party involved, almost like another guy competing for the same girl. also i think he feels torn inside between his feelings for the person and his rationality saying that they dont care for him and the indecision is paralyzing so hes just going to let the feeling bleed him untill it fades. |

He's saying the belief that life should be comforting and carefree is an unrealistic idea, and that while we can put on a show and make ourselves seem unafected in reality the world is breaking us down and he's not the only one suffering. Despite the fact that we know life is hell we still look for love and comfort from people we know suffered like us. |
