okay, so forget that last post, i'm almost postive that it's "throw up"... anyway, my thought on this song is that this song is about two lovers, or ex lovers, and he's trying to reconnect with her, the sea was their common bond, and he shared it with her, "tasting it" in each other, and then she throws it up, rejects it, or him. then its as if he reminds her of how things used to be, in the beginging, before she "poured her elements away" or left, or stopped loving him, whatever. maybe she keeps going back to her bf, who treats her bad, and she keeps abusing her relationship with the singer, playing him and going back to her boyfriend every time. and finally i think that the part about sealing lips and all that jazz, well she's with the singer on the side, and its her secret, and her hands are dirty cause she's cheating, she knows its wrong, yet loves the attention from both parties. iiii dont know. |

i think it means that two people loved each other for a night, they wanted ot be together, it was lust, and they thought it was more, and in the heat of the moment, they seemed to be in love. the next morning, he wakes up and it hits him, they were never in love, and she seems to know it too. i love this song so much, theres so much meaning in it to me, and its just a powerful song, lyrics and music combined. sonny is a genius if you ask me. |

okay okay okayyy i'm confused. my boyfriend and i were talking and listening to this song, and iii personally think sonny says "throw up a little bit of it on your knee," but my boyfriend says "rub a little of it on your knee," and i dont think thats right, but then i listen to it, and i think he's right, and then i think i hear "Throw up a little" and then i think i hear "rub a little" and i'm confused. what is it really? throw up? thats what everyone's saying, but my ears must be playing tricks on me now. |

so here's what i think, im sure im no where near correct: he's learning more and more about himself, he can't figure out if he got into fame by his own talent or if he was molded into being an icon. "I view so many faces form a tower up above neglected inner wants and hungers for what I love" = he sees everyday people having normal lives, while he's always watching his back with his fans and haters, and he cannot live a normal everyday life, so he tries to ignore everything, and can not have what he wants, or his "inner wants", and he might hunger for that, or hungers for the music, im not sure. dont quote me on this :P "cluttered bunched black eyed and voiceless I fill up the sugar cup to stay up at night in my black upabove" = he's like an outcast or something filty, (i just picture homeless addicts for some reason, nothing against them), and he can't express how he feels. the next line reminds me of cocaine, how the "sugar cup" keeps him up at night in his upabove tower.. the next part makes me think of his flaws, and how he hates them and his problems with himself, and how he's lying tohimself and everyone about how he's happy.. the next part i think he's talking about how everygirl he's with theres only attraction, its only sexual and he wants something more, not just what goes on in his "tower". the last part might be about how he's so hard on himself, and through everything, he still hates himself and everything. im not sure. ahh i dont know, im sorry this post is so long, imm lame. |
